COTTAGE GROVE — Triple Angels Healthcare, an assissted living company, is proposing a new 20-bed facility along Highway 61.

The building at 7150 West Point Douglas Road is a one-floor, 10-room building set up with two beds in each room. The building will be able to serve 20 people.

Construction will be done in two phases, starting with the 10-unit building. An addition to the facility to be constructed in the future will double the size.

Triple Angels currently operates in the city by working out of single-family homes that the company will sell after the new building is completed.

The company is staffed with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and personal care assistants, and is a Minnesota licensed care provider.

The facility will look almost like a commercial building from the outside, but will be staffed 24/7 by nurses within.

Triple Angels is not age-restrictive and will serve people of all ages, not just seniors.

Beside the 10 rooms, there will be a kitchen and dining area, laundry, offices and space for the nursing staff.

Another lot between Extra Space Storage and the Park and Ride was also platted, and poised for future development opportunities.

The proposal will be before the city council March 21.

Editor's note: An earler version of this story said that the building will be a senior living facility. Triple Angels is not age-restrictive to seniors, and will serve other ages.
